With support of Computershare and Pepper, Siemens AG wins GEO Award 2010 for best share plan communication
At the annual conference of the Global Equity Organization (GEO) in April, the best international employee share plans were honored for the eleventh time. Siemens AG was given the award for best plan communication.
In 2009, the global employee share plan program from Siemens had addressed 385,000 employees in 48 countries. Before the beginning of the participation period, all participants were provided with plan documents and access data for the online administration platform. In addition to the logistical challenges of sending the information by post worldwide, the personalization of the letters, production and shipment of the documents needed to be guaranteed under the highest security standards.
Eighteen national companies of Siemens AG decided to use the processing services of the international Computershare Group. Pepper, the marketing and communications agency associated with Computershare, was responsible for the creation of the various letters of correspondence and overall project management, managing and monitoring the personalization and production which took place in the printing center of Computershare Document Services. All letters were produced in a two-phase secure process in which a personal barcode was assigned to each recipient, and printed on the document. In this way, Computershare was also able to smoothly process the responses and subsequent mailing of access data.
According to Siemens, it was important to make this ambitious project a success for the benefit of employees worldwide. With the organization and outstanding networking of the Computershare Group, it was possible to provide employees with plan documents and access data within the shortest period of time, contributing to an exceptionally positive participation rate.PDF-Download
